Assessment year 3
In the third year of my Trend Research & Concept Creation in Lifestyle study, I spent half a year doing an internship. I chose to intern at SYNDLE, a company that implements food concepts in hospitals. This internship perfectly aligned with my two main areas of interest: food and health. During this time, I was able to deepen my knowledge in this field and gain valuable practical experience.
Design
What is it about?
At the end of my internship, an assessment was scheduled, where I had to demonstrate how I had grown within the seven competencies of my study. This document needed to be not only content-wise strong but also professionally and visually appealing.
One of my personal learning goals for that year was to improve my skills in Adobe Illustrator. I saw this as an opportunity to challenge myself and combined contemporary objects with food in a playful and humorous way. This design also aligned well with my internship and the insights I had gained over the past year. It gave me the chance to further develop my professional design skills while actively working on my growth within Illustrator.
This approach helped me immensely in taking my skills to the next level, enabling me to work in Illustrator with much more technical strength and confidence.
