Since a young age, I dreamed of becoming an architect, but this quickly changed to interior design. After completing a course in this field, I realized that I enjoyed something even more: graphic design.

Who am I?
Hey, I'm Sam Kolsters, a social concept designer with a passion for graphic design. Through my work, I bring these two worlds together to convey a message or concept.
In 2024, I completed my studies in Trend Research & Concept Creation in Lifestyle at Fontys University of Applied Sciences. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree and officially graduated as a Social Concept Designer.
Passion for food and health
During my studies in Trend Research & Concept Creation in Lifestyle, I discovered my fascination with food and health, particularly how these two areas intersect. I had already been interested in these topics in my free time, but my education has only deepened this passion.
Over the past two years, I’ve worked on several projects focused on health and nutrition. I fully immersed myself in these topics, ultimately using them as the foundation for my graduation project as a social concept designer. My graduation project, "Behoud je Balans," can be found under the "My work" section, where I delve deeper into the details.
As I mentioned earlier, health and nutrition are central to my daily life as well. This stems from one of my hobbies, fitness. Additionally, I play football, which adds to my active lifestyle. Outside of these hobbies, I also enjoy spending time with friends, whether that means playing games or occasionally enjoying a beer together.
Previous education
I have been passionate about design since I was 16, but in a different way than just graphic design – as an interior advisor. Before starting my HBO bachelor’s degree, I completed a four-year MBO program as an interior advisor. During this time, I gained valuable knowledge and skills that I later applied in my next studies. Although I enjoyed the program, I realized that my true interest was in concept development and design.

My passion
My passion for graphic design stems from the freedom to create my own world, where nothing is impossible. There are no boundaries, and I can pour all my creativity into it. I also get incredibly excited when something is not only beautifully designed, but also enhances the message. Design is essential in today's world and plays a crucial role in the success of brands. It brings ideas and stories to life visually and truly makes an impact.
My vision
My vision is to create a fitting visual identity that strengthens the concept, using my knowledge of concept development and my passion for graphic design. This ensures that the message comes across clearly and powerfully. I aim to achieve this through my unique approach and expertise, allowing me to stand out from the rest and add real value to every project.
